Vortrag von Gastwissenschaftlerin aus Isreal
Am 18.10. hält Dr. Vered Silber-Varod bei uns einen Vortrag mit dem Titel "Talking, pausing, and everything in between - Integrating voice and discourse in natural conversations"
Abstract: In this talk, I will present the contribution of prosodic analysis and acoustic measurements to the field of discourse analysis, which traditionally relies primarily on auditory perception. My approach aims to contribute a new facet of data to discourse studies following the triangulation notion, and thus to examine speech phenomena from different angles, increasing
the credibility and validity of the findings. I will demonstrate my method on interviews and speech of Israeli politicians.
